The OrigamUSA convention hosted in NYC this weekend was awesome!
I met some of the coolest people in origami and took 10 classes over 3 days.
Some highlights were:
- meeting my favorite artists: Boice Wong, John Montroll, Brian Chan, Meenakshi Mukherji, and Robert Lang
- learning origami from the special guets, Miyuki Kawamura and Bodo Haag
- witnessing the Guinness World Record "largest origami swan" being folded
- meeting other tessellation folders from across the country + world
- displaying some of my own works at the exhibit alongside world-famous models
- grabbing lots of new paper from the shop, courtesy of the scholarship
This convention has definitely fueled my love for origami even more and I can't wait to fold more :)
